Tickets & instant delivery
Q How fast do buyers receive tickets after payment?
Tickets are delivered instantly after successful M-Pesa payment. Buyers receive:
  • Email delivery — PDF ticket sent immediately.
  • Instant download — available on the confirmation page right after payment.
Q Can buyers download the ticket instantly after paying?
Yes. After successful payment, the confirmation page shows a download button. The email also includes the ticket PDF (or link).
Q What if a buyer did not receive the email ticket?
  • Check Spam, Promotions, or Social folders.
  • Search “LipaTix” or the event name.
  • The buyer can still use the download option after payment if available.
  • Organizers can resend the ticket via Dashboard → Orders.
📧 Pro tip: Ask buyers to whitelist your sender domain to improve deliverability.
Q Can one buyer purchase multiple tickets?
Yes. Each ticket gets a unique QR code. Multiple tickets are delivered together, and each is scannable individually at the gate.
Q Can tickets be used more than once?
No. Each QR code is designed for single-use validation to reduce duplicate entry.
M-Pesa payments & orders
Q Does LipaTix accept M-Pesa payments?
Yes. LipaTix is built for Kenya, with M-Pesa Express (STK Push) checkout and automatic payment confirmation before tickets are issued.
Q What if a buyer pays but the page doesn’t update?
The transaction can still complete successfully in the background. Once confirmation arrives, the ticket is issued and delivered by email. Support can verify using the M-Pesa transaction code.
Q Do buyers get an M-Pesa receipt?
Yes — M-Pesa sends the standard SMS confirmation. LipaTix can also email a receipt together with ticket details.
Entry & QR scanning
Q How do QR-code tickets work at the gate?
Each ticket contains a unique QR code. You scan it at the gate to validate entry and help prevent duplicates. Once used, it’s marked as checked-in.
Q What device do I need to scan tickets?
Any smartphone with a camera works. For high-volume entry, a tablet can help. A stable connection improves speed; offline workflows can be supported depending on your setup.
Q What if a buyer shows a screenshot of a ticket?
You can scan the QR from the screenshot. If it’s valid and unused, it passes. If someone already used it, the system rejects it.
Payouts, fees & refunds
Q How does LipaTix make money (fees/commission)?
Typically via a small platform fee per ticket. Your dashboard should show the platform fee and your net earnings clearly.
Q When do I get paid out?
Payout timing depends on verification status and your payout schedule. The expected payout timing is shown inside the organizer dashboard.
Q Can buyers get refunds?
Refunds depend on your event policy. If refunds are supported, they’re typically processed back to the buyer via the supported payout channel and may affect your payout balance.
