This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled on the LipaTix platform. By purchasing a ticket through LipaTix, buyers agree to the terms outlined below.

1 General Refund Principle

LipaTix Solutions operates as a ticketing and payment facilitation platform. Refunds are not automatic and are only issued under specific conditions outlined in this policy.

Tickets purchased on LipaTix are considered final and non-refundable, except where explicitly stated below.

2 Events Eligible for Refunds

Refunds ARE Issued When:

  • The event is officially cancelled, and
  • Funds have not yet been transferred to the event organizer

If both conditions are met, LipaTix will initiate a refund process to affected ticket buyers.

3 Events NOT Eligible for Refunds

Refunds ARE NOT Issued For:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Failure to attend the event
  • Personal emergencies or scheduling conflicts
  • Dissatisfaction with the event content or experience
  • Event rescheduling (unless the organizer explicitly authorizes refunds)

Important: Buyers are advised to purchase tickets only after making a final decision.

4 Organizer Payout Status

Refunds MAY Be Possible

If funds are still held by LipaTix, refunds may be processed upon event cancellation.

Refunds NOT Possible

If funds have already been released to the organizer, refunds are no longer possible through LipaTix.

Important Notice

Once organizer withdrawals are completed, LipaTix cannot reverse or reclaim funds. All refund requests must be made before payouts to organizers are processed.

5 Refund Authority and Control

Refund Authority

All refunds on the platform are reviewed, approved, and processed solely by LipaTix Solutions.

Event organizers do not issue refunds directly to buyers through the platform unless explicitly coordinated with LipaTix.

6 Refund Method

Approved refunds are processed using bulk M-Pesa B2C transfers or the original payment method where applicable.

Refund Distribution

Refunds are sent directly to:

  • The phone number used during ticket purchase, or
  • The payment account associated with the transaction

No cash refunds are issued.

7 Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved:

  • Processing typically takes 3–7 business days
  • Delays may occur due to mobile network issues, banking systems, or verification checks
  • Buyers will be notified via email once a refund has been initiated

8 Partial Refunds

Partial Refund Policy

LipaTix does not guarantee partial refunds.

In rare cases, partial refunds may be issued if:

  • Only part of an order is affected by a cancellation, and
  • The situation is reviewed and approved by LipaTix

All decisions remain final.

9 Fraud, Abuse, and Chargebacks

LipaTix reserves the right to:

  • Reject refund requests linked to fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity
  • Suspend accounts attempting to exploit refund mechanisms
  • Cooperate with payment providers and authorities where necessary

Chargeback Policy

Chargebacks initiated outside the platform may result in account suspension and potential legal action.

10 Communication & Updates

In the event of a cancellation:

  • Buyers will be notified via email and/or SMS
  • Refund instructions and timelines will be clearly communicated
  • Buyers are encouraged to ensure their contact details are accurate at checkout

11 Policy Changes

LipaTix Solutions reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on the platform.
